WW III? Reply to Glenn Beck on Nuclear War

Do you have insurance for the worst-case scenario?

This week on Glenn TV, Glenn Beck presented “How to Prepare for the HORRIFYING Reality of Nuclear War” (Ep 254), to awaken Americans to a threat they probably hadn’t thought about for a long time. “Mr. Beck has done a great service to our nation in his spell-binding account of the acute nuclear war danger facing our nation now,” states Doctors for Disaster Preparedness (DDP).

“Mr. Beck is correct in saying that the threat of nuclear war has never been so high, and Americans are totally unprepared,” states DDP president Jane M. Orient, M.D. “Still, he unwittingly promotes some dangerous myths that might discourage people from taking simple precautions.”

DDP offers the following factual information:

  • The “duck and cover drill” that Beck like so many others ridicules would save millions of lives in those areas far enough from the bomb where flying glass and debris would be the main hazard.
  • Any type of shadow or cover can prevent burns from the thermal flash. At Hiroshima, skin under white clothing was protected, while skin under dark colors was burned.
  • There is no fallout of significance if a nuclear warhead is air burst.
  • Fallout from a ground burst decays rapidly by the “7-10 rule.” At 7 hours after detonation, the radioactivity would be decreased to 10% of the initial level, and at 49 hours, to 1% of the initial level. It does not take 2 weeks to fall to that level.
  • Fallout is visible (it looks like sand or grit). Levels can be measured easily—unfortunately, the U.S. destroyed most of its appropriate instruments, but Beck does not mention that fact, or the alternatives available to or makeable by the public.
  • The nuclear winter theory was thoroughly debunked in 1986.

“We thank Mr. Beck for raising awareness and hope that Americans will be stimulated to increase their knowledge and level of preparedness,” stated Dr. Orient.

Our group meets in person most months to discuss issues of the day pertaining to public health and safety. An early project was to set up the “Medical News Discussion” on facebook.com. Early posts are still available—please comment and share—except that FB (now Meta) censored some of them. Members of the group previously served on the Public Health Committee of the Pima County (Arizona) Medical Society until PCMS eliminated the committee as being unnecessary.

Members include Holly Gruhl, R.N., Jane Orient, M.D., and James Gruhl, Ph.D. Dr. Orient practices general internal medicine and is president of Doctors for Disaster Preparedness. Dr. Gruhl earned a doctorate in systems science at MIT, which included environmental impacts of electric power generation. He researched and taught at MIT and retired from there. In 1969-1970, he helped write the Clean Air Act, which set up the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and served on the EPA Science Advisory Board from 1976 until 1992. From 1976 until 1985, he was a principal investigator for Harvard School of Public Health projects on health effects of energy production; health effects of air pollution; heavy metals pollution; combustion products effects on health; and climate effects on world food production, population, species diversity, and extinctions. In 1995-1996 he chaired the Clinton Committee on the Kyoto Climate Treaty and studies models of climate and CO2 and effects on vegetation and global temperature.

  • Dr. Orient reported that the spring issue (https://jpands.org/jpands2801.htm) of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons will have several articles on COVID-19 vaccines: evidence pertaining to the effect of the vaccines on mitigating severe disease; obstetrical adverse reported to VAERS for COVID vs. influenza vaccines, and negative evidence pertaining to cancer.
  • The origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is now the subject of public scrutiny. Dr. Gruhl pointed out an aspect not getting much attention: the tens of millions for gain-of-function research funneled to places other than the Wuhan Institute of Virology, including the Chinese Military Medical Sciences (biowarfare) facility.
  • Transgenderism, previously believed to affect about 0.6% of the population is now said to affect 20%. The manifestations are of dizzying complexity.
  • Holly Gruhl remarked on the continuing paucity of person-to-person communication, and the refusal of so many, including family members and long-time friends, to communicate with persons who do not fully accept the narrative. Naomi Wolf writes about this extensively in The Bodies of Others. She believes this is one effect of COVID lockdowns and constant fearmongering. She states that children lost about 20 IQ points, and also manual dexterity as they did little except play Nintendo. Dr. Gruhl stated facts don’t matter any more. Most people brainwashed and get anxious and agitated when confronted with facts that dispute the accepted Narrative. We are in the Allegory of Plato’s Cave, he states, where the inhabitants viciously attack those who try to tell them about reality.
  • The supposed “scientific” basis for masking and lockdown mandates is under attack, as in the Cochrane review on mask mandates. The basic rationale depends on asymptomatic transmission. Dr. Gruhl noted that the Chinese did a gigantic study. On 30th Nov 2020 it was reported that “A mass screening programme of more than 10 million Wuhan residents identified 300 asymptomatic cases, but none were infectious—according to a study involving the University of East Anglia.   • World depopulation is occurring. China’s population is closer to 800,000,000 than 1.4 billion, based on cell phone data, Dr. Gruhl stated. Officials have strong incentives to overstate population numbers. Population may soon decrease by 25% per generation. Each person in China produces an average of 0.25 offspring, which means China’s 1.4 billion will be down to about 320 million by the year 2100. Totalitarian governments cause despondency and lack of desire to have children. Many factors are contributing to depopulation, including food shortages, impoverishment, pandemic control measures as well as the emerging pathogens themselves, and the LGBTQ phenomenon.
  • The war in Ukraine escalates. Dr. Gruhl notes that if Putin dies or is “taken out,” the Russian Federation might split into several regions ruled by warlords equipped with hydrogen bombs. He believes supporters of the war are not considering this consequence.

Doctors for Disaster Preparedness (DDP) Urges Caution in Assigning Blame for SARS-CoV-2 Virus

Current intense controversy concerns whether the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the causative agent for COVID-19, came from nature or from a laboratory. And if the latter, was it an accidental or a deliberate release?

Doctors for Disaster Preparedness (DDP) asks: How can we establish a definitive answer, and what action would be advisable?

Some proponents of a laboratory origin have focused attention on a virologist at a major American university. An enormous fire occurred at a laboratory at that university (coincidentally?), despite its sprinkler system, causing extensive damage on multiple floors.

“What is achieved by ‘doxing’ an individual scientist, even if the scientist is guilty?” asks DDP president Jane Orient, M.D. “Killing Osama bin Laden did not remove the terrorist threat. And accusing the wrong man diverts attention from the real culprits and discredits the accusers.”

DDP makes several observations:

  • It seems unlikely that an evil scientist bent on making a bioweapon to kill millions would work openly at a public university and patent his product.
  • The actual product may not be the same as an accuser claims. It is important to read the patent first-hand. For example, one patent claimed to be a “smoking gun” actually concerned developing a veterinary vaccine against porcine transmissible gastroenteritis (TGE), a plague that kills pigs en masse.
  • Molecular biology is a highly complex subject. Most physicians do not have the expertise to independently assess claims by “experts” that they may be repeating.
  • Animal infections (zoonoses) do have the potential to “jump species” and infect humans (e.g., Ebola). SARS-CoV-1, which is the “older brother” of SARS-CoV-2 but not the same, evidently did so. Thus, we need sophisticated labs for monitoring.
  • Any technology can be used for good or ill.
  • There are hundreds of laboratories, many funded by the U.S., capable of making bioweapons—or defenses against same, located in the U.S., Ukraine, China, or unknown locations. China has reportedly been working explicitly on bioweapons and genetic weapons.

“Our first priority should be effective pandemic response, which COVID-19 revealed to be woefully lacking,” Dr. Orient stated. “We need to investigate the source, but premature accusations, which may terrorize scientists, are counterproductive.”

  • Reports of “turbo-cancer” began to appear after the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. People including committee members are aware of acquaintances with unusual, very aggressive cancers. Dr. Jane Orient is completing an article “Negative Evidence: COVID-10 Vaccines and Cancer.” Negative evidence is the surprising absence of research that one would expect to be prioritized by government and academia, given growing public concerns.
  • Dr. Gruhl noted Josh Stirling’s actuarial reports of a 145% increase in deaths of persons who received just one dose of COVID vaccine, and an overall increase of 40%. Life insurers will not be asking questions about vaccination status but will increase rates across the board.
  • Dr. James Gruhl also called attention to the recent paper by Fauci et al. in Cell concerning the need for better approaches to vaccines for respiratory viruses. He wrote: “It is not surprising that none of the predominantly mucosal respiratory viruses have ever been effectively controlled by vaccines.” One problem is failure to stimulate mucosal immunity. Dr. Gruhl states that in the book Spike by Jeremy Farrar of the Wellcome Trust, Farrar writes how he, Bill Gates, and Anthony Fauci used burner phones to discuss the modification of the coronavirus.
  • Dr. Gruhl stated that Peter Daszak, of Eco Health Alliance, redirected Fauci money to Wuhan in 2018 to add the furin cleavage site to the coronavirus so it could get into human cells and replicate and become more lethal. Peter Daszak filed with the US Department of Defense for a patent on the addition of a furin cleavage site to a coronavirus to facilitate cell entry, as by a bioweapon (“The Daszak Strain,” https://eco-healthalliance.org/, which includes email from Daszak to colleagues.)
  • Dr. Gruhl stated that the RNA in COVID vaccines has pseudouridine instead of uridine, which makes the RNA more stable. One effect is that it remains in the body much longer. There may be other, unknown effects. Also, according to a Pfizer whistleblower, different lots contain different numbers of ingredients.
  • The flying objects that have been shot down over the U.S. are Chinese surveillance devices, states Dr. Gruhl. They are not a threat to people on the ground. They are probably monitoring communications with our ICBMs.
  • Holly Gruhl, R.N., reported watching a recent panel discussion featuring medical students or residents and thinking how thoroughly indoctrinated they were in unquestionable following of protocol.
  • The world political situation was discussed. Klaus Schwab recently received a vote of no confidence. Only Olaf Scholz of the G7 attended a recent meeting. The most prominent members of the WEF in charge of main objectives (e.g. King Charles on the energy agenda and Bill Gates on eugenics) are aging. Problems with succession in the U.S. given Biden’s age and deteriorating health were also discussed.

  • Actuaries report extraordinarily high excess death rates in persons between ages 18 and 50, which will have a devastating impact on the insurance industry. These are just numbers of deaths from all causes. Curiously, the rate is highest in persons receiving a single dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
  • It is predicted that that as many as 4 billion humans will die of starvation, owing to measures such as limits on nitrogen fertilizer. Dr. James Gruhl stated that the rationale for the limits is to prevent a theoretical global temperature rise of 0.1 degree Fahrenheit by 2100, which would be virtually unmeasurable.
  • Dr. Gruhl reminded the committee of his graph showing CO2 levels and measures of the earth’s lushness over geological time, and the optimum levels for various temperatures. Optimum is about 2500 ppm, current is 420 ppm, no life on Earth is 150 ppm—the worst possible public health problem.
  • Dr. Gruhl has spoken with Dr. Richard Lindzen of MIT, who states that the climate change crisis is a hoax, but any criticism will be suppressed, and editors who permit publication of critical articles have been immediately fired.
  • The World Economic Forum conference in Davos concluded with an impassioned speech by Klaus Schwab declaring that persons spreading the idea that globalists meant to take over the world would be canceled.
  • Dr. Gruhl reported that the U.S. electric grid could be shut down for months if key points were disabled, resulting in death of a large fraction of the population.
  • Investors are withdrawing funds from Wells Fargo, BlackRock, and Vanguard because of the anticipated effect of ESG policies on investment returns. Companies are now walking back or denying their statements about ESG.

Doctors for Disaster Preparedness (DDP) Warns against Lockdown 2.0

Prospects of escalation in the Ukraine conflict have sparked concerns about nuclear war, according to the latest issue of the Doctors for Disaster Preparedness Newsletter.

Governmental response to a nuclear detonation could be the equivalent of Lockdown 2.0, warns DDP, citing the “Get Inside, Stay Inside” public relations campaigns in some states and the same advice on the federal website ready.gov.

How long must one stay inside? The ads say “Stay tuned” for official advice, but DDP points out the essential need for measuring radiation levels where you are located and the lack of appropriate instruments.

“The purpose of the civil defense program started by President Kennedy was to keep the country working,” states DDP president Jane Orient, M.D. “Rescue work and essential tasks cannot be done if everyone is in lockdown.”

Five million instruments were disposed of in the 1990s and not replaced. A low-cost technology called SIRAD (“see-rad”) was developed by the Department of Defense and tested by Homeland Security in 2007, but was never deployed by government, DDP states. At the suggestion of Tom Ridge, first U.S. secretary of DHS, volunteers used the SIRAD technology to create safe/not safe (“Oh Shucks!”) monitors.

There is also the option of the Kearny Fallout Meter (KFM), designed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory to be made by children. Instructions can be downloaded free from oism,org/nwss.

In a crisis, ready-made instruments will not be available, but knowledge is free and available to all, Dr. Orient says. The poor man’s rad meter is seeing fallout particles, which look like sand or grit, on a shiny surface or piece of white paper.

            “Panic could kill more people than radiation in a nuclear attack,” states Dr. Orient. “People outside a bomb’s radius of complete destruction have an excellent chance of survival—if they know what to do.”Doctors for Disaster Preparedness provides information to help save lives in the event of natural or man-made disasters.

Ukraine: What about a Dirty Bomb?

Procrastination is easy, especially in preparing for events you don’t want to think about.

But since we told you about the New Jersey bus ads on radiation emergencies, new happenings might make you want to step up your preparedness efforts.

The British Daily Mail ran an Oct 19 article on New York City’s Cold War fallout shelters. It provided information on how New Yorkers could find the nearest shelter, while showing many photos of the shelters’ deplorable condition. There are no supplies, and no radiation measuring instruments such as Geiger counters.

Russian defense minister Sergei Shoigu made phone calls to his counterparts in the U.S., UK, France, and Turkey, warning that Ukraine was planning to explode a “dirty bomb” (radiological dispersal device) and blame it on Russia. Ukraine denies this. Ukraine has the ability to make a dirty bomb, and Zelensky has mentioned it, but the significance of various officials’ statements is unclear.

What if Ukraine War Goes Nuclear?

As pandemic fears are somewhat quieted, another threat is gaining attention. New Jersey transit buses are bearing the message below:

These appeared days after similar ads were placed in New York City subways, two months after the message appeared on poster boards in New Jersey shopping malls, and just before New York City Emergency Management created a TV Public Service Announcement telling New Yorkers what to do if a nuclear bomb hits. It is unlikely that officials are doing this for no reason.

Hurricane Ian Has Lessons about Electric Vehicles

As California and additional states contemplate banning the internal combustion engine (ICE), we need to watch what is happening in Florida, states DDP president Jane M. Orient, M.D.

“Most Floridians have a car with an ICE,” she states, “and they had enough warning to fill their gas tank before they were ordered to evacuate.”

Power lines are down, and millions are without electricity, she notes. “Renewables” will be producing zero electricity and may be destroyed by the high winds. Even if you find a roadside charging station, it will probably have no power.
